Annual maintainence/water change

Now comes the time to have a complete spring clean which comes round once a year at a time of your choice.

Start by removing some pond water into another container to house the pond fish, we donít want a dramatic change in water temperature as this can be harmful to them, once done, clear all the plants, rocks and pumps etc.

Try not to use any harsh chemicals when cleaning the pond, remove any slush or contaminates, when done, rinse thoroughly. Once thatís all done you have now completed two jobs in one, an annual maintenance and a water change.

When you have changed the water make sure you have used a dechlorinator in the water before you replace your plants and fish. It is always wise not to overpopulate any pond, this leads to healthy living and years of pleasure ahead.
